These buntings are made from children's books and bias tape. I got the books at a garage sale for 50 cents each, but I should have bargained for less.
It feels wrong to cut up these great books, but they are still being honored in this project.
I am really happy with how they came out. My sewing machine quit on me inthe middle of this project. Isn't that always how things go?
These felt hair clips are super easy to make, I made day of the week ones for one of my besties once which turned out very cute!!

ReplyDeleteVery Cute, especially the buntings. I can see them made from (cheap) copies of classic books, decorating a reading center in a classroom. If they're made from books familiar to kids, it might make reading more inviting for kids who struggle. Thank you for the idea. I will be sure to try this out in my classroom. Ooo, I can see this in a school library, highlighting a display of a certain author. I'll be sure to pass pass this on to our librarian.
