Farm to Table Dinner at Millsap Farms

Hello Monday, so nice to see you again...
This weekend was so nice. Today I'm going to share our date-afternoon with you. Saturday we spent the afternoon and evening at the Farmer's Market of the Ozarks farm tour and farm to table dinner.

We toured 3 farms; Sunshine Valley Farms, an orchard and berry patch with an onsite restaurant in Rogersville, Mockingbird Gardens, a husband/wife pair that have a small scale commercial garden north of Springfield growing specialty vegetables to sell at FMO, and Millsap Farms, a family run farm that hosts a CSA and sells at FMO, and it is also where we had dinner.
We learned quite a few gardening tricks for someday. Jim was bummed we didn't see any animal farming, but then we met some people that raise pigs and cattle and he got to chat with them and discuss raising grass fed beef, so he was happy after all (oh and he loves free beer!)
The whole day was very inspiring. Seeing people live lives filled with creativity and passion, and making a living doing so. Dinner was delicious! Date sauce and Feta pizza??? Oh and they gave out the recipe for the date pizza sauce!

Beautiful music, delicious food, and God's gorgeous green earth! What more could you ask for?

Happy Monday!
Emmy
